Part-time spay/neuter clinic scheduler
We are seeking a part-time scheduler for our spay/neuter clinic. The position is the first point-of-contact for:
- scheduling spay/neuter surgery appointments
- handling patient paperwork
- answering client questions about clinic services, and
- patient intake and discharge.
The position requires a minimum of one year of experience working in a veterinary clinic and discussing pre-operative requirements, post-surgical instructions, etc. with clients.
The successful candidate will also bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong computer and customer service skills, be detailed oriented, experienced in handling cats and dogs, capable of lifting up to 65 lbs. Bilingual in English/Spanish, and experience as veterinary assistant or technician are highly desirable.
Required education, experience and/or training and abilities:
- High school diploma, some college desirable
- Small animal handling experience
- Computer skills (required)
- Capable of lifting up to 65 lbs.
- Veterinary clinic assistant/tech experience (highly desirable)

Part-time truck driver
Our busy thrift store is seeking a hard-working individual for a part-time driver on Saturdays.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- driving to homes and other locations to pick up donated furniture and other large items
- lifting heavy boxes and furniture
- cleaning and monitoring the maintenance schedule for the company-owned box truck.
The successful candidate will be a team player who brings experience in driving delivery-size trucks, and wants to work hard to help animals. He or she must possess excellent customer service skills, act in a professional and courteous manner with our donors and the thrift store team, and have a clean driving record.
Thrift store sales and receiving clerk
Large, busy thrift store in Rockville, MD seeks hardworking, flexible individual to work as a store and receiving clerk. Will consider part-time or full-time, depending on specific experience.
Duties include, but are not limited to: donation day set-up and tear-down, accepting donations from the public; sorting incoming inventory and delivering it to the appropriate area for processing; stocking shelves and creating pleasing displays; regularly straightening inventory and cleaning the store; assisting customers and the cashier; and helping maintain Covide-19 safety protocols.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. is a requirement of the position. Experience as a cashier, experience in merchandising, and experience in a thrift or second-hand retail store highly desirable. The successful candidate will be a flexible, positive, energetic and proactive team player, as well as a fast learner who is capable of working independently. Availability to work on weekends is a must.
