Jo Ann Hoffman brings a background in association and business management, golf tournament management, and fundraising. She was chief operating officer of the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) until 1996, where she received the AABB Distinguished Service Award twice. She has served on many boards, and received the Professional Convention Management Association Foundation Professional Achievement Award while serving as president. Meeting News selected Jo Ann as one of the 25 Most Influential People in The Meeting Industry, and she received the American Society of Association Executives In Honor of Women Who Advance Excellence in Associations Award. She first volunteered with MCHS in 1990, and since has helped establish the first MCHS Golf Tournament, worked in the kennels, served on and chaired the annual gala committee, and has served as on the board of directors since 2004. She also received the MCHS Humanitarian of the Year Award in 2004. Jo Ann resides with her two dogs adopted from MCHS: Tommie, a West Highland Terrier and Ollie, a Coton de Tulear.
