Service Projects

Donations may be delivered to MCHS daily between 11 am and 5 pm. No appointment is necessary to drop off your donations, there is a contact-free donation station set up at the main entrance. Donation receipts are also available there.
Please coordinate service projects through our Education Director.
There are several ways that members of the community can support our animals. Below are some suggestions:
Collect
- Host a drive for wish list items (new or gently used) at school or home
- Ask for wish list items in lieu of birthday presents
Check out this wonderful “how-to” video put together by Girl Scout Troop #5975 on doing a pet supply drive! We’re in awe (and so appreciative) of these young people!
Towel and blanket drive
Coordinate a towel and blanket drive (new or gently used and freshly laundered) bath towels, beach towels, flat sheets, hand towels, wash cloths. (No fitted sheets, no items with zippers or snaps, no fabrics with rips or frayed edges, nothing padded or stuffed.)
Pet food drive
We are looking for UNOPENED, UNEXPIRED, non-Rx wet or dry dog food, cat food and cat litter in plastic containers for our Pet Pantry. Many families in the community are hurting right now, and we are helping out by distributing food at no cost.
We need a wide variety of food — baby to senior: we like to give the same food an animal is used to eating if possible. Less chance of upset tummies that way. And smaller bags are easier to handle / divvy up. We can always give multiple small bags to a family, but we cannot open and divide a large bag for health and safety reasons.
Fundraise
Organize a fundraiser such as bake sale, lemonade sale, or garage sale and donate the proceeds or create your own business with proceeds going to MCHS.
Sell
Designate MCHS when you post items for sale on eBay or Nextdoor. PayPal Giving Fund will see to it that we get the percentage of the sale that you indicate.
