Kayne West/Rescue is a 1 year 8
month old Westhighland Terrier/Poodle
mix male looking of that forever home he
so desires. Westie's are known to be
happy, curious, and always in the thick
of things. They are affectionate and
demanding, one of the most friendliest
terriers. They enjoy a daily romp in a
safe area or a walk on a lead, as well
as playtime at home. If you would like

Ringo/Rescue. This handsome dog
is a 7 month old German Shepherd/Collie
mix. He's current on his shots,
neutered, and micro chipped. He gets
along with other dogs as far as we can
tell so far. He walks pretty well on the
leash. He's still a puppy and needs
socialization and training. He doesn't
seem to have had any training. Since he
is a puppy, we do require that an adult
be home most of the day to care for him
and socialize him and train. If you are

quiet, mellow and sweet. He walks well

with soft, silky fur and bright, alert
eyes. He is three years old and
neutered. Debonair had been at the
Montgomery County Animal Shelter since
January 26 and is now being cared for at

Ramsey/Rescue is a TOP CAT! Our
TOP CATS come highly recommended by MCHS
staff and volunteers and deserve a good
home soon. As of May 1st, 2008, Ramsey
is a nine-month-old kitten with lots of
energy! He is playful, feisty, and all
"boy." He does have an occasional quiet
moment when he enjoys being petted and
will purr to show his appreciation.
Ramsey had been at the Montgomery County
Animal Shelter since March 11 and is now
being cared for at the MCHS Private

Syria/Rescue is a TOP CAT. Our
TOP CATS come highly recommended by MCHS
staff and volunteers and deserve a good
home soon. Syria is a big, lovable brown
tabby girl. She loves to cuddle and have
her chin rubbed. Syria is ten years old.
Because Syria is considered a "Golden
Oldie," her adopter will receive a $75
coupon toward her next vet visit. If you
are over 62 and interested in adopting
Syria (or any of our other great senior
cats) please ask about our "Friday's
Golden Oldie Program" for seniors. Syria

Vietnam is a black and white boy with a
cute black moustache. He is a big lap
cat and is very sweet and affectionate.

Houston/Rescue is a friendly,
mellow female cat who is about 2 1/2
years old. This cat likes nothing better
than to sit next to a friendly human and
purr. She is also a big fan of sitting
in a sunny window and watching birds go
by. This cat has perfect litter box

peacefully with dogs and cats. This cat
is accustomed to people of all ages. She

that! He's a laid back, orange tabby

likes to be picked up and held. He gets

Kerrigan/Rescue is a gorgeous
spayed Torbie (patched tabby) female who
currently resides at the MCHS Rescue. At
the rescue, she is a little shy,
preferring to be the one to make the
first move. However, her former foster
caretaker reports that in the home
environment, she was much more outgoing.
Perhaps the rescue environment doesn't
show her off to her fullest. If you can
provide a home where Kerrigan's friendly
side can come through, please contact us
or come in to the rescue shelter to
visit her. |

Chick Fillet/Rescue is an
adorable 4 month old pit bull
puppy being cared for at the
MCHS Private Rescue. She’s a
happy girl, gets along with
other dogs and loves people.
Since she is a puppy, we do
require that an adult be home
all day to train and socialize
her. She can not be left in a
crate all day for 8-10 hours.
Also the new adopters will have
to own their own home and not
have any other pit bulls in the
household. If you qualify and
you are interested in adopting

We have some nice doves at the MCHS
Private Rescue who are up for adoption.
There are 4 white ones and one brown
one. They all came in together, but do
not need to be adopted out together.
They need lots of attention and the cage
cleaned every day. If you have the time
to devote to these birds, come on by and

Meet Lima/Rescue, a 1 1/2 year
old male Rex, who would like nothing
better than to find a bunny-loving home
to call his very own. This
little charmer is litter box trained.
He loves to explore, and if he is
allowed out of his cage or pen, the
house should be rabbit-proofed.
Lima/Rescue has so far not chewed on
wires or furniture, but will eat paper.
He is very independent and not at all
demanding. We haven’t been able to get
him to sit quietly with us, but with
time, patience, and lots of love, I
believe he could be the sweetest, little
cuddle bunny. If you would like to
meet Lima/Rescue he is being cared for

Hammer/Rescue is a big, happy
Labrador retriever mix being cared for
at the MCHS Private Rescue. He's a very
nice, social dog. He gets along with
other dogs and likes people. He is 2
years old, current on his shots, and
ready for his new home. He likes to ride
in the car and is friendly when meeting
new people. He loves to go for walks.
He's an active dog and will benefit from
daily walks and socialization with
people and other dogs. If you can
provide him with a stable, loving home,

Tabitha/Rescue and they need to be

Daisy/Rescue is a very special
dog that is looking for a very special
home and family. She originally came
into the shelter as a stray and was very
sick and scared. She has come a long way
and is now very healthy, happy, and full
of life. The special home she needs and
is looking for is one where she will be
the only pet, won't have small young
children, will have a strong secure
fence, people that have had some
experience with dogs, and will be
willing to take her to an obedience
class. She also needs a family that will
be able to give her the direction and
leadership that she desires. She is a
sweet and loving dog that bonds very
well with her people but she can be a
little unsure of new people and
situations. She is an Aussie Shepherd
Mix, who is 65lbs, and is about 4 years
old. This sweetheart is already house
trained, crate trained, current on
shots, micro chipped, heartworm and Lyme
negative. She also knows some commands
and walks pretty well on a leash. If you
