Doggie Easter Egg Hunt at The Posh Pooch
The Posh Pooch, a luxury dog boutique in Bethesda, played host to a Doggie Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 15. Canines in designer spring duds, bunny ears, and bonnets, strut their stuff while sniffing for treat-filled eggs and socializing with other canine pals.
Highlighting the event was the search for the “Golden Egg” (a $50 gift certificate to the Posh Pooch!). Prizes for the most eggs collected included a case of bully sticks from Merrick, a gift basket of treats from Organic Doggie Kitchen and a training session with Barkbusters!
Over $650 was raised and donated to Montgomery County Humane Society’s Joey’s Friends’ Fund in support of Katie, a malnourished and diabetic Daschund who arrived at MCHS as a stray. The fund was established in 2007 to pay for medical expenses of special needs and abused animals in memory of a special dog named Joey, who in his short life touched us all.
The Posh Pooch owner, Leslie Rosenthal, frequently supports MCHS and we are grateful to her for hosting the Doggie Easter Egg Hunt. Also, thank you to volunteers, Lynette Snell, Easter bunny, and Drew Holland, photographer.
