Licenses aren't just
for pets anymore!

By ordering a MCHS LUV license plate or a Spay/Neuter License plate, you show your support for the animals of Montgomery County. Join those who display their commitment to the animals!

Click on one of the "Order" buttons below to order a license plate online using your credit card -- or, mail the form below.

Once we receive your order and payment, we will send you an MVA form to complete, which gives us all the necessary information regarding your vehicle. Return both parts of the MVA form to us by mail and within 4-6 weeks, the MVA will mail you your new license plates. Drop your old plates at any MVA office.

Plates are ordered through MCHS and mailed directly to the patron. Upon receipt of new plates, patron must return old plates to any DMV office (including the Express offices.) Allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.

*Please note: Payment for your MCHS or Spay/Neuter license plates is different than your registration fee to renew your license plates. The charge for the MCHS or Spay/Neuter license plates is a one-time fee, and the portion over $25.00 is a tax-deductible donation to MCHS.

Your Maryland registration fee is paid every two years, and your new animal license plates cannot be issued until your registration is current. When you order your animal tags, you will NOT have to pay another registration fee.

Did you know that your employer might match your contribution to the Montgomery County Humane Society with a donation of its own? This would double the support and provide even more assistance to the homeless animals in our care.
