It’s cuddle time! Are you looking for a sweet cat that will cuddle in your lap and snuggle with you at night?

Candy/Foster is a 12 year old (as of Jan. 2012) beautiful spayed calico cat who is looking for that perfect home.

She is litter trained, up to date on all her shots and medical visits and recently had her teeth cleaned and polished just for you!

Her owners moved and left her behind L . She needs a quiet home with no dogs or other cats (she’s afraid) and someone to keep her company with lots of purr-inducing petting and playtime. She would be a perfect pet for a retiree or senior.

If you are interested, please call her foster mommy @ 410-206-3858 or 410-531-9053/email sshare56@gmail.com
Warsaw/Foster is a happy, 6 month old neutered male kitten being cared for in a foster home. He always uses his litter box. He is current on his basic medical needs. If you would like to add him to your family and spend the next 15-20 years with him, contact his foster Dawn @ dawniemae33@yahoo.com for more information.
Vienna/Foster, a spayed female calico & torbie with white domestic medium hair, is a complete love bug. At only 1.5 years old (as of Jan 2012), she’s been through a lot; she was surrendered to the shelter by a homeless lady who clearly loved Vienna with all her heart. Vienna is all about paying that love forward. She loves to rub against legs, roll over for belly scratches, and be picked up and held. And her coat is so silky soft! Vienna has excellent litter box manners, is up-to-date on vaccinations and is spayed. To follow Vienna's story, check out http://fromthepits.wordpress.com/adopt-me. If you would like to meet and/or adopt Vienna, contact Nevie @ neviebrooks@gmail.com or 301-518-9875.
Pettigrew/Foster is a sweet 2 year old (as of Jan. 2012) female cat being cared for in a foster home. He loves to be pet and is a lap cat. He always uses his litter box. She is current on her basic medical needs and will be spayed before going to her new home.

If you would like to add this wonderful girl to your family contact her foster Deborah @ (301) 951-5130/email deborah@dkimmel.com for more information.
Samba/Foster: Female, spayed, DSH, Smoke (grey with white undercoat) 2 ½ years old.

Samba was given up to the shelter because she was pregnant. In April she had 4 cuddly kittens, 3 who have been adopted.

Samba is not comfortable around other cats - she'd rather have you all to herself. She is always up for being held and very open to cuddles. She loves to look outside or chase a toy.

Samba is a "smoke". Meaning that the underside of her fur is white, which sometimes shows through to give her a dappled look. Samba always uses the litter box and would make a great addition to any catless home.

Contact: mjvillforthsmith@gmail.com or call 240.252.0712.

Foglight/Foster is a 4 and a half year old born June 2007 spayed female available for adoption. She is a gray tortie with pretty beige markings. She is in good health and up to date on all her shots. Hi, I’m Olive/Foster, a cute, precious, healthy, medium haired, female kitten. Ultimately I’m an adorable fluff-ball. My black coat has a beautiful hint of maroon with a splash of white here and there on my chest and stomach. I was born the day after Thanksgiving (11/25/11). I am in a foster home with my sister Fig/Foster. We do everything together; you should consider adopting us both! I enjoy batting toy mice, pursuing balls, climbing cat trees, running through tunnels, and chasing feather toys. I’m bold and curious. I have no problems approaching the resident house cat and playing with him even though he is much larger than me. When I get tired, I love to curl up in my foster parent’s laps and purr myself to sleep. I always use my litter box and scratching post and I will be spayed prior to adoption. For more information or to meet me please contact my foster mom Lindsey @ lmcfoster@gmail.com / 240-389-4228. Here is a link to additional photos: https://picasaweb.google.com/10222471907

I’m George/Foster (aka Scooter in my foster home), a 5-year old (as of 1.20.12) black neutered male. I love being held and petted. I haven’t found a lap yet that wasn’t welcoming. I don’t like to play so much, but I can get excited when you put catnip on a toy for me. I’m no scaredy cat – I like to meet new people and I’m not afraid of noises. I am a good car traveler. I like kids but not other cats or dogs. I always use my litter box. I eat wet and dry food, but I don’t have a big appetite, so my foster mom gives me a little bit in the morning and at night. My favorite place in the house is the big bed, especially when there’s someone else in it!

People say I’m beautiful, but I don’t let it go to my head. I just want to be loved. You can call 301/570-3538 or email marcielovett@hotmail.com to meet me. I can’t wait to join your family!
Twig/Foster is an 8 week old (approximate date of birth 8.22.11) female kitten being cared for in a foster home. She loves to play with the other kittens in the foster home. She always uses her litter box and is current on her medical needs. She will be spayed before going to her forever home. Champagne/Foster is a very sweet 2 year 9 month old female cat (as of 12.23.11) being cared for in a foster home. She has the striking gold eyes as you can see from her picture. She came into the shelter with 5 underage kittens. Now that they are old enough to be adopted it’s her turn to find her forever home too. She is current on her shots, FELV/FIV tested negative, dewormed, micro chipped, spayed and ready for new home. She always uses her litter box and likes other cats too. If you would like to add this young cat to your family contact her foster Diane @ 301-520-3374/email Diane.Stalder@gmail.com
Whale/Foster is a lovely 4 year old brown tabby with bright green eyes. She is incredibly sweet and has the cutest meow. She is playful and loves to chase laser pointers. And, she also loves to relax and chill, as she will sit and lay with you keeping you company. Whale/Foster is spayed and litter box trained. Anyone would be lucky to have her because she is a great cat with a great disposition. She just needs that loving permanent home she can call her own. To meet Whale/Foster or for more information call or email her foster mom Julia @ 301-530-0282/ email jmthompson1982@yahoo.com

Josephine/Foster is a 6-year-old spayed female domestic medium hair/Japanese Bobtail Calico mix (revealed by her powder puff tail) with a soft silky coat. She was given up to the shelter because her owner died. Miss Josie's Christmas wish is to be in a household where she is the only cat. She gets along fine with her foster caretaker’s dog since he ignores cats for the most part. She is affectionate (she’s a bedtime snuggler and will jump in your lap) but sometimes she just wants to keep you company without getting too close. She would do best in a quiet slow-paced environment without other cats or small children. She has perfect litter box manners and is current on her shots and physical exam and tests negative for FELV/FIV. If you would like to add this sweet girl to your home, please contact her foster mom, Alaina @ (301) 838-3006/email mcfostercats@gmail.com for more information.

Volvo/Foster, Tracer/Foster, and Vega/Foster (better know as Cassie), were born in late May and are now turning six months old. Volvo and Tracer (pictured together) are boys, and Cassie is a girl. All are very affectionate, loving, and playful. Volvo is the most outgoing; he doesn't know a stranger and is our "Mr. Welcome Wagon." He will follow you everywhere and will never miss an opportunity to sit on your lap. Tracer is a little quieter than his brother, but is probably the biggest snuggler of the three. He is also a little smaller than his brother, and will most likely be small for a male cat when he is fully grown. Cassie was the genuine "runt" of the litter and has always been about half the size of her littermates. True to her size, she has a charming "pixieish" personality. She is lively and energetic, but still enjoys taking a quiet siesta in your lap when she decides to slow down. Tracer and Cassie both have small heart-shaped faces, similar to Korats. All of the kittens have glossy, solid black coats with no trace of white. To learn more about these siblings, please email Debby @ dss2184@aol.com / 301-916-0936.
Minnow/Foster is a sweet 9 month old male kitten being cared for in a foster home.  He is current on his shots, neutered, and micro chipped.  He always uses his litter box and gets along with other cats.  He likes to be held and pet.  He was recently one of the MCHS Top Cats.  Top Cats come highly recommended by the shelter staff and volunteers.  If you would like to add this wonderful kitten to your family, contact the fosters, Lowell and Virginia @ 301-255-0188 or ldenning@mac.com for more information.
Joyner/Foster is a spunky, affectionate 1 year old born approximately Sept. 2010 female calico who loves being around people. If you want a cat to greet you when you come home from work, Joyner is your girl. She loves to scamper and play, but is equally at home snuggling on the couch. We're not sure if she gets along with children or other pets, but she loves big people! She is very well behaved - quiet and always uses her litter box. She is current on his basic medical needs and will be spayed before going to her forever home. If you would like to meet Joyner, contact foster mom Teresa @ teresa.may.mccoy@gmail.com /434-515-4220 for more information.

Hi I’m Apollo/Foster (aka Tricey in my foster home), and I’m 3 years old male black and white cat.  I am a very cool cat, but you just got to get to know me in my foster home; otherwise I get kinda grumpy if you put me in a cage.  I can adapt pretty quick to a new home, and I eat dry and can food, you name it.  I like to be petted, but not too much; I just like to have some space, u know.  Sometimes I got my temper, so I do not recommend you to get so close to me.  Not that I’m mean or anything, but sometimes I lose my cool, you know how it is.  Okay, but let’s not just focus on the negative side though.  There are so many nice things about me; for example I’m so nice that I will wait for you by the door, I use my litter box all the time, and I am not shy at all so you can introduced me to all your friends.  Look at my picture, am I cute or what? I mean you just gotta see my eyes and my body, yeah I am hot!!! Oh, I speak three languages: Hi, Hola and Meow.  Unfortunately, I don’t get along with kids because then they get all the attention, and what about me?  Anyway if you want to contact me or my mommy call 202 270 4634 (our cell phone) or 301-740-3690 (my home).  Or if you are a little shy, just send me a e-mail (I’ll be glad to answer any questions you have) netmari17@hotmail.comI’ll be waiting, don’t take too long!!!!
Comfort/Foster is a sweet, adorable spayed mom cat that is now ready to be adopted. She came into the shelter pregnant and was lucky enough to be able to raise her babies in a foster home. Now that they are 8 weeks old she needs a forever home of her own. She is just 2 and a half years old (as of 12.23.11) and loves people. If you would like to adopt her contact her fosters Lowell and Virginia @ 301-255-0188/email ldenning@mac.com for more information.
Olivier/Foster is a blue torby with gorgeous glowing green eyes. This long-legged 4-yr old is about 11 lbs, and was given up when her family had a new baby. In the past she was a mommy and an outdoor kitty, but is now spayed and has become used to indoor life. She's grown more comfortable with people once she realizes they can be trusted. Aggressive cats frighten her, but she gets along well with easy-going kitties. Although she won't let herself be picked up, she loves to be combed. She would probably do best in a home with experienced cat owners, who'll give her the time and space she'll need to learn she's safe and can depend on them. To learn more, contact Virginia @ 301.255.0188/email ldenning@mac.com To see more pictures of Olivier and other fosters in her household, Click Here

Juliet/Foster is an intelligent 2-yr old Siamese-tortie mix with unusual markings and very big light blue eyes. She likes to explore around the house, thoroughly inspecting any thing new. Sometimes we even call her Snoopy, as she likes to snoop around so much. She likes to have a good quota of lap time per day, purring with contentment. She spends her time during the day chasing bugs, bird watching, and sleeping in the sun or up high. When we've been out of the house, she will greet us at the door and roll on her back just to let us know she is happy to see us. She's the type of cat that likes to get up close and friendly with strangers, as well as those people who are using computers or reading the newspaper. She would probably do best in a home with older children and as an only cat. Apartment living would be okay with her too. She always uses her litter box, is spayed and FIV and FELV negative, has her shots and ID microchip. To visit with Juliet, call Susan @ 301-437-7460/email susancutler@starpower.net. She is a special needs cat. She has a stomitis-like condition that causes her teeth to decay at the gum line and break off. She will need a dental exam with cleaning and possible extractions once a year.
Liberty/Foster is a sweet, adorable 1 ½ year old spayed female being cared for in a foster home. She is a fairly little girl, just 8 pounds with a big heart. She loves to be pet and held. She likes adults, is used to children, and likes other cats. She is affectionate and calm. She always uses her litter box. She is friendly and has never bitter or scratched anyone. If you want to add this beautiful girl to your family contact her foster John @ 301-933-1596 / johnnylegstrong@verizon.net for more information.

Flame/Foster is a spayed female, short-haired torbie, born in June 2008. Sister of Peachie & Pepper. Unique features: orange splotch on forehead and cute double-meow (“meow-ow”). Sweet, dainty and playful. She loves snuggling, watching her water bowl being filled and grooming her foster-mom’s hair. Her favorite toy is a mini tennis ball. Flame may never be a fan of being picked up and carried, but she is usually rolling around on her back, purring loudly and begging for attention. She started out as a feral (wild) kitten living in the woods in Silver Spring. Instantly learned to use the litter box (no accidents, ever). Scared of strangers, good at hiding, but very affectionate with her foster mom. She is developing into a spunky, loving lap cat. Often will choose attention over food! Healthy and up-to-date on shots. Has no experience with dogs or children. Adopters must live reasonably close to Montgomery County, Maryland. Contact her foster mom @ 978-376-5860/email loribethlibrarian@yahoo.com
I am Sleepy/Foster, and I look like a china doll because of my pure white face and upturned eye lines. I am a languid, long limbed kitten and am all white under my black mantle, with cool curlique leg markings.  I like to play with my sisters and hang out on people’s laps, which make very good sleeping surfaces. Like all my sisters I will fall asleep in your hand, purring.  Please contact Laura @ 229-0999/email harding.lau@gmail.com
