Adoption/Animal Care

MCHS is looking for a hard-working individual familiar with computers and good customer service skills to help patrons on the phone and in person. Duties include providing information, processing adoptions, answering phones and conducting animal visits. Individual must have experience handling animals and must pass a background check. Other duties include cleaning, and animal care responsibilities.

Spanish a plus but not required

Veterinary Tech

MCHS seeks an experienced, registered veterinary technician for a new, mobile spay/neuter clinic. The successful candidate will have passed the VTNE, be currently registered with the Maryland State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, and have worked at least one year as a veterinary technician.

The successful candidate will possess: excellent animal handling skills; excellent computer, customer service and communications skills; a dedicated work ethic and a positive attitude; and must be capable of lifting up to 80 lbs. This is an opportunity to help launch an exciting new initiative that will require energy and dedication to ensure its success.

  • Registered Veterinary Technician, graduated from an AVMA-approved Vet Tech Program
  • Minimum one year of experience as a Vet Tech in a veterinary hospital
  • CDL driver’s license is not required, but is a plus

  • Capable of lifting up to 80 lbs.
