Calvin is an 11-month old Pit Bull weighing 55 pounds. He is a nice, friendly boy, who will need an outlet for his high energy. Calvin is eager to learn and already knows “sit”. His new owner must be willing to give him training and be physically able to manage a strong dog. Calvin will be fine with teen-aged children in his new home.

Male Pit Bull
Jeremy is a 2-year old Pit Bull, weighing 65 pounds. He is an outgoing boy, but a little timid at first. Jeremy will need socialization and training to help him focus. He shows an above average interest in chasing small dogs, so we recommend care be used around small dogs and other small pets. For this reason, Jeremy should not be placed in a home with cats. He should be fine with children who are at least 12 years old.

Maya is a sweet 12-year old German Shepherd mix who came to us when her owner died. She is housetrained, and while she can be competitive with other female dogs, she enjoys walks and spending time with her family. She is good with some cats, and will make a calm and loving companion for someone who is home a lot.

Harper is a mature Lab/Australian Shepherd mix who came in as a stray. He's not a ball of fire, but still enjoys a good romp and making friends. He may have somewhat limited vision but it doesn't dampen his affectionate spirit or his ability to make his way in the world.

He's a sweet softy who will open up nicely for a family who will help him with his manners and give him plenty of structure in his life. He enjoys older children and will make a great playmate once he settles in.

Neutered Black and Tan Coonhound
Typhoon Fred has the distinction of having the silliest name in the shelter! He's a great big ol' Coonhound boy who needs a great big ol' yard and an experienced owner who likes the outdoors. He loves to be brushed and used to sleep in a crate at the foot of his person's bed. He's very sociable with other dogs but would be best in a home without children.
