| Q: What does it cost to participate in Paws in the Park? |
A: Registration is FREE, but we do hope you will join the fundraising campaign by going on-line and creating your own email page to send to family and friends. It’s so easy and fun to see what others are doing to help the MCHS care for the animals in our community.
You can also raise funds in person and bring those donations to the event or to the shelter a few days prior to Paws. Print the donation form off the website or call to get the form mailed to you. |
| Q: Do I have to have a dog to participate in the walk? |
| A: You don’t need a dog to join the Walk—just a desire to help the animals that need us. |
| Q: Can I bring my cat? |
| A: Please do not bring your cat. Because of the nature of this event, bringing your cat would cause undue stress to both the cat and the dogs attending. However, you may walk in honor of your cat. |
| Q: How long is the Walk? |
| A: There are two trails; the Yorkie trail is the shortest at .7 of a mile, and the Beagle walk is 2.5 miles. |
| Q: Tell me about the “Treats” mentioned on the Website. |
| A: The “Treats” are our way of saying thank you to those that are raising funds for our animals. The more money you raise, the more “Treats” you will earn. |
| Q: What about the Family Fun Fair? Is that FREE as well? |
| A: Yes it is. Bring the family and join us for the fun. We’ll have exhibitors with goods you’ll want to buy for your favorite pet, snacks and drinks to satisfy your hunger, information about all of the work we do at the MCHS, and fun contests you can enter with your canine pals. |
Q: How many dogs can I bring for the walk?

| A: Bring as many as you can safely handle. We ask all dogs be well-socialized around children and other dogs, and be kept on a 6’ or shorter leash. No retractable leashes, please! Be sure your dog(s) are current on vaccinations. |
| Q: What if it rains? |
| A: Paws in the Park will take place rain or shine. Of course we’re hoping for lots of sunshine. |
| Q: Will there be water for the dogs? |
| A: Yes! Water bowls will be placed along the trails and throughout the Family Fun Fair. |
