Paws in the Park Dog Walk & Fest 2011 is one of the Washington DC area’s largest dog walks and we’ve moved to a new location! This year, we’re excited to partner with the City of Gaithersburg to bring you you an even better event at a larger location -- Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg.
Paws in the Park is fun for the entire family, featuring 1-mile walk, pet games, demos, a “flealess” market for pet-friendly vendors, food, music, prizes, raffles, rescue groups and more! Check out last year’s event. Great prizes are awarded to the top online fundraisers.
Special guest Jackie Bensen, reporter from NBC 4, and Maureen McLain, on-air mid-day host from 97.1 WASH FM and her husky, will kick off the walk, inviting the top individual and team online fundraisers to lead the pack!
Helping animals is a walk in the park. Your pledges will:
- Raise much-needed funds for homeless, abandoned and abused animals
- Make a difference in the lives of the dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, birds and all the other animals in our care
- Support life-saving programs and services such as animal medical care, humane education, reduced cost spay/neuter, animal behavior assistance and more
