COMING THIS SUNDAY! REGISTER AT THE DOG WALK!

Paws in the Park is the annual 1K, 3K, 5K dog walk benefitting the Montgomery County Humane Society. More than 400 people and their four-legged furry companions are expected this year, making it one of the Washington, DC metro area’s largest dog walks. Jackie Bensen from NBC4 is kicking off the walk with her German Shorthair Pointer, Opera.

Paws in the Park is fun for the entire family, featuring pet games, top dog trick contest, petting place, kitty corner, face painting, a “flealess” market for pet-friendly vendors, food, music, prizes, raffles, rescue zone and more! Great prizes are awarded to the top fundraisers -- the grand prize, for the fundraiser who raises the most money over $1,000 is a one-night Hyatt Chesapeake Bay summer getaway for a couple or family of four, one of the area's top luxury resorts.

Proceeds benefit the wonderful animals of the Montgomery County Humane Society or Critters for the Cure, our partner organization this year -- it's your choice of where to send your proceeds (select online when you register).  Critters For the Cure is a non-profit that supports uninsured and underinsured women battling all types of women’s cancer.

How to Register

Help us raise pledges by walking as an individual or forming a team.

How to Collect Pledges

Use either the pledge sheet, your personal fundraising page created at www.firstgiving.com/mchsmd, or both! Ask your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers to sponsor you and your pet. Ask if your employer or your friends’ employers have a matching gift program -- these can double your pledges and get you that much closer to one of our top prizes! Start by setting an example and make your own pledge to help the animals.
