Crusaders

The next MCHS Canine Crusaders Event with be Saturday, July 16 at the shelter from noon until 3pm. We will set up our information table and our "ask a trainer" station.

It’s Easy to Adopt:
Adoption applications must be completed in person. Bring a valid driver’s license, proof of rabies shots for other pets in the home, landlord’s name and phone number if applicable, and veterinary reference. Montgomery County applicants take priority over others. Youths under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. More details about adoption.


Every adoption saves a life!

The Canine Crusaders volunteer committee was estabished to help promote adoption of the wonderful dogs in our shelter who seem to have more difficulty finding a new home. These might include our very friendly pit bulls who have been in the shelter a longer time simply because there are so many; the sweet seniors; those with special needs; and of course, the shy ones who need a little help getting attention.

The committee meets approximately every six weeks on a weekday evening.
