Cage Signs for Shelter Animals
Supplies:
• White or pastel-colored index cards size 4x6 or 5x7 (use the UNruled side)
• Crayons, markers or colored pencils
• Stickers (optional)
• Pipe cleaners
• Hole punch
To design your card:
Each card should focus on just one animal: cat dog, bunny, hamster, gerbil, guinea pig, ferret, reptile, fish.
Print a message using phrases such as “please adopt me,” “I’ll love you forever,” “please take me home,” “I need love,” and so on. We do NOT use the phrase please “buy” me because dogs and cats that are purchased at retail stores likely came from puppy or kitten mills where the animals are raised in harsh, inhumane conditions.
When you finish your drawing, punch a hole in the top center and weave a pipe cleaner through the hole to attach to the cage.
